Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Colonization

Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Colonization was announced on June 9, 2008. It is the long awaited remake of the original, Sid Meier's Colonization, first released back in 1994.
Civilization IV: Colonization is based on the Civ IV engine. It is not an expansion pack, but a standalone game, so the original Civilization IV game is not required to play the new version of Colonization.
Civilization IV: Colonization has greatly improved graphics, with crystal clear water and the now famous 3D world of the Civ IV series. The game requires a video card with pixel shader 1.1. Take a look at some new screens in the screenshots section.
The game is based upon early European Colonization. The player will lead one of four nations, each with two selectable leaders, to the shores of the New World. Once settled, the player will face a number of challenges; striving for immigration, colony improvement and expansion, production and trade, and relations with the native tribes and other European powers. Old fans of the game will find game concepts familiar, but there are several new features included in the new version.
New Features Include:
Improved Diplomacy: Advanced negotiations with europe, other nations and the natives, including the trading of gold, resources and land.
Founding Fathers: 52 in total. Each of the Founding Fathers will choose to join only one nation based on certain criteria. In other words, to get Founding Fathers in the trade category, one must show oneself "worthy" in the areas of trade.
Improved Tutorials: All new detailed tutorials to guide the players through the game.
New Interface: Accessible and easy to use for old fans as well as new players.
Replay Value: Four nations, eight leaders, a new map generator, various combinations of Founding Fathers and strategies, and the many multi player options, give the game an endless replay value.
