Civ IV Colonization - Nations and Leaders
There are four nations in Civ IV Colonization: England, France, The Netherlands and Spain. There are eight leaders to choose from, two for each nation. Each leader has two traits, the first one related to his nationality's strength, and a second one reflective of his personal strength.
Apart from the national and personal traits, some nations have additional advantages.
France
Starts with a Hardy Pioneer instead of a regular Pioneer.
The Netherlands
Starts with a Merchantman, which is a faster and bigger ship than the other nations' Caravels. It has a movement of 4 and 4 cargo holds, while the Caravel has a movement of 3 and 2 cargo holds.
Spain
The only nation to start with a Veteran Soldier.
