New Updates & Previews
Happy 4th of July to all our US visitors! These past few weeks have been filled with anticipation, joy and excitement for all Sid Meier's Colonization fans. It only seems fitting to mark this Independence Day with a short re-cap of this eventful period.
It all started with the out-of-the-blue rumor posted in the forum on June 8th. So many rumors have surfaced over the years that I guess nobody gave it too much thought. Then the official statement was released the following day, and we just could not believe it!
Then there was the interview with Maestro Sid Meier himself at Gamespot 
on June 14th, and the release of their Colonization game page at Firaxis Games on the 17th.
This game, as always, has a way of sparking controversy. This was again the case when a blogger called the release of Colonization morally disturbing. Of course he got a swift reply from Firaxis and hundreds of fans.
The past week we've seen a lot of hands-on previews coming out. If you haven't had a chance to read them, here they are:

According to the 1UP preview of the game, the initial release date is set to October 15, 2008.
